This is such an EXCELLENT copy and has pictures and explanations - for the conneissuer of Les Miserables....tells the story of the musicals beginnings and how popular it became - much more than just a piano part! Collectors Item.I ordered TWO of these. One for me and one for my Friend, my former accompanist who loves the musical.

Th music is a little bit harder but they are done well. Some songs aren’t included that would have been nice but I got this book for the songs that were included. It is put together well and I am enjoying playing them

This is definitely beyond the beginner-intermediate player, but as a late intermediate player I can say that if you really want to struggle through this and learn it, it's doable, especially if you leave out the melody line and sing it/have someone else sing it instead.

Item was bought used and was in great condition. It arrived quickly and was as it was described. Book has 16 songs with lyrics and guitar chords as well. This is for intermediate/advanced piano skill level. I purchased this for my 14 yr. old daughter (has been playing since she was six). This will be challenging for her to learn.

I love Les Miserables, and I love singing. Anyways this songbook is great for any Les Miz fan. I loved that this book had never-before published songs in it. I love "Come To Me", and I'm glad this music book had it. I think it's a great buy for any broadway goer/ singer/ piano player. I am very happy with this purchase!

Like having additional pieces to play .... the others are the same arrangements I have in my older book of "Les Miz",which is disappointing. I was looking for Piano Solo music, and this really isn't it.

My grandson is almost 8. He is addicted to Minecraft. Although he is an excellent reader, above second grade reading level, he is not fond of reading because he does not find the books interesting. Well I ordered him the entire set of this series. Probably a dumb idea because had he not liked them I would have been stuck with 9 books. Luckily, I judged correctly. For the first time since he had discovered Minecraft, the video game, he was reading rather than playing. It confirmed Grandma's theory that it was not the reading he did not like, it was the subject matter! Yeah Grandma. So the books get 5 starts from both of us.

I have bought several of these books for my 10 year old grandson who is being home schooled. He did not like to read but has really come to enjoy these. They are written in a fun diary form. The writing is larger print (yet not childish) and written in short chapters. I initially wanted him to read more "substantial" books but then I realized more than that I want him to learn to love reading. Better books can come later once he has established that. I will continue to buy these for him till the series is complete.

I bought the first three books of this series just to see if my little Minecraft fan would be interested in them at all. Let's put it this way, that was in December of 2015, it is now the middle of February 2016 and I just pre-ordered book 10, and my son is praying that they keep writing for this series!

My 8 yo son is not much of a reader but loves Minecraft. I was hoping that buying these books would get him more interested in reading and not so much of a fight when it comes to his 10 min reading that he has to do nightly for school. And this book has done the trick. My son will even ask to read a little longer sometimes because he is "at a good part." lol Would highly recommend for any young reader that likes Minecraft.

My son likens reading to corporal punishment, so I am always on the lookout for fun books that pique his interest in reading. As a Minecraft "zombie" himself, I just knew my sweet baby boy would relate to the trials and tribulations of the titular Zombie in this series. My adorable and brilliant cuddlebug devoured all of the presently-available installments and we are both now anxiously awaiting the next. (Seriously. Can't you just churn these out in groups of four or something, Mr. Zack Zombie?)

My 7 year old son got the first book of the series for Christmas. He sat down and read it that day. He has since read, and asked for, each of the books. He can be a reluctant reader so this series is perfect to get him to read on his own, willingly. Some people have complained about the writing style and level. Obviously these are not meant to be great literature; however, they have interesting stories and for kids my son's age they are great.

My son LOVES this series!!! He seriously read this book in under a week!!! He stays up late reading now which is pretty incredible for us to see that!! He has always struggled with reading, and getting him to read was always a battle... until I found this series!!! PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING!!! :)

My son loves these books. They're a bit slim for the price but he loves them and talks about Minecraft and the books quite a bit.

This book has several different weight training exercises listed, including some with body weight, some with free weights, and some with medicine balls. Each takes up about a page, with some black and white photos. In the back, there are some sport specific workout plans. There are also some tables showing suggestions as well as some recommended blank tables on how to track your workout progressI believe the authors really know their stuff... It's good information, but I would like to have seen it condensed into some workout plans that a kid could just pickup and start doing. Maybe even some foldout pages that could be torn out and hung on the wall of their room as motivation.

I expected something different. But the book made good sense. It was well worth the read. But I still want to get a book on starting a teenager using some of the weight machines we have acquired.

Pretty basic and light on content.

Dr. Faigenbaum & Dr. Wescott have once again provided exercise professionals with a scientifically and evidenced based resource manual for the strength training of youth and adolescents. This book offers easy to follow guidleines and recommendations for the design and implementation of strength training and fitness workouts for youth and adolescents 7 to 18 years of age. The book also provides 100 illustrated exercises with technique descriptions using various types of training equipment. It is a must read and resource manual and belongs on everyone's book shelf who work with youth and adolescents in strength training and fitness programs.

I teach physical education to elementary students, but just acquired an 8th grade girls class. I had not taught strength training in more than 10 years. Our school does not have a lot of equipment for girls so I ordered this book. The girls have enjoyed incorporating the medicine balls and elastic bands into their work out. I did not own a strenght training book per se, so I bought this one. This book provided the advice we needed to start him off on correctly. As a bonus, practical advice on equipment... even instructions to make your own 'medicine ball'. I would definitely recommend this book for young athletes. The advice is sound and the author is reputable. It was definitely worth ordering.

This book is great and I love to give to some of the other personal trainer, I work with at the gym.

This book is relatively complete, but is oriented toward teachers, rather than students, so teens will find it fairly dry.

If you are just starting your Fiesta Collection, this is a must! I have several other books on Fiesta and this has so much more information! This is now my go to reference book. It gives you the history as well as descriptions of pieces and rarity. If I had know about this book; it would have been the first one that I acquired!

The title of this book "Fiesta" can be a little misleading to the novice or seasoned collector. Beyond actual Fiesta and Fiestaware by Homer Laughlin the author's detail company history by delving into Harhequin, Riviera, Mexican lines, Kitchen Kraft, even promotional items and advertising.For Fiesta identification pieces the pictures and Plate descriptions are very good. Pictures, specifically are very clear and concise while the page quality is excellent. In particular, this book will provide a very wide range of history and the wide variety of products offered by Homer Laughlin Co. over many years. Although the title suggests a book on Fiesta, this portion is limited.If your looking for price comparisons or rule of thumb the book is weak in this department, it does not effectively handle all colors preferring to provide information strictly on the "hot" collector pieces such as 'medium green.' Of course, prices quoted in books are strictly "guides" as the internet, antique malls and live auctions mix up values on a weekly basis. Current research and personal perspective will be the true guides for market value at any given time.Fiesta is covered in the first 73 pages of this book (pre/post 1986) and then moves on other topics or products produced. This book would be a fine starter for the novice but additional resources will need to be added for a complete library on Fiesta and Fiestaware.

I must agree with several of the reviewers below. This is the book you hate to love. On the one hand, it has an exhaustive amount of information on the various Fiesta pieces available. On the other hand, the whole mixup with regards to the medium green color is a real problem (plate #52 on page 43 was incorrectly captioned.) However the information provided makes up for this problem, no question.The book covers a history of the pottery, including the famous "radioactive red", it shows the four most common backstamps, it describes ways to definitively identify Fiesta (as opposed to some look-alikes), and gives explanations of the dating codes and the various measurements.As well, the book is chock-full of good photos the various pieces in all their colorful glory. I especially like the section on the Harlequin line, as it seems to be rising in collectibility. The only other quibble I have is with the prices shown, but that's a problem with every reference book out there these days, as the online auctions have thrown everything for a loop. So if you're looking for a good, general reference on Fiesta, this is the one to get.

This book is very helpful when trying to decide how much an item is worth. We collect for ourselves and don't purchase for resale so it is nice to see how much someone who has been in the business for awhile feels the dishes are worth. The pictures are beautiful and let you see an example of the item of which they are speaking.

In college and seminary in the 1960s I was totally enamored with Paul Tillich. I read everything by him and about him that I could get my hands on. He seemed to me to provide a workable and beautiful philosophy which illuminated the symbolic and moral value of the Bible. I felt that more than any other theologian he helped us see the relevance of the Bible's teaching about faith. When Hannah Tillich's book "From Time to Time" came out, I was so disgusted that I got rid of all my books by Paul Tillich. Recently, I have started reading his works again. He was an intellectual giant. More than anyone else, he has helped us to see past the historical inaccuracies of the Bible and still treasure the symbolic meaning. He also opened the door to an appreciative understanding of diverse religions. "The Courage to Be" is the best place to begin reading Tillich. Several friends have told me that this is the one book that helped them to hang on to their Christian faith. I believe them. It is a great work. The last sentence should be memorized: "The courage to be is rooted in the God who appears when God has disappeared in the anxiety of doubt."

This is perhaps the most important and profound work I've read. Time will tell. It's a very heady book, but was meaningful to me because it put words to and deepened what I have already come to know through the practice of experiencing being. When Tillich got too abstract for me, I let his words glide over me. In short order, I was back to finding ground in what felt like a conversation with one the great thinkers of our time. Nearly 50 years after his death, his work is still radical and as far as I can tell sadly not in practice. For me the two most profound statements in the book are “Neurosis is the way of avoiding nonbeing by avoiding being” and "The courage to be is rooted in the God who appears when God has disappeared in the anxiety of doubt." His message is a challenge to both Christians and atheists.What's missing from Tillich is a way to enter a process to experience what he describes. I first read this book as an undergraduate religion major 45 years ago, and I have returned to it again and again over my lifetime. My professor at the time had been a student of Tillich's and required us to read many of his books, including his massive Systematic Theology.This book has remained one of the few books that is always relevant. You need to have a basic liberal arts education in philosophy and history to understand much of it. But for those who do, this is a treasure trove of wisdom. The closing sections are among the most profound words ever written.

We all face the challenges of discovering who we really are but few really take up the challenge and fewer see it through! Tillich makes it simple with his systematic process of revealing why Christ centered love provides a vehicle to learn full acceptance of our strengths and weaknesses...how to attain the Courage To Be!

I bought the Kindle edition, which formatted well and comes with active table of contents for easy navigation. This book, of course, is old, having been pubished in the 1950s. It also reflective of existentialist ideas and terms in vogue at the time. But the issues raised by Tillich are good ones. As a Christian, I liked the last half better than the first half, since that is when he began to hold up Christian faith as the source of "the courage to be" and the answer to fate, meaningless, and condemnation.
